Mitch Flegg, the boss of North Sea-focused Serica Energy has highlighted the firm’s appetite for bumper acquisitons where most of the assests bigger competitors may have lost interest in lie.
After the completion of a portfolio purchase from BP 6 months go, this has propelled it into the premier league, according to Mr Flegg as the company eyes for more deals.

His belief towards the firm’s ability in maximising potential assets where that major would not consider it big enough to invest in, is reflected from his enthusiasm.
This gave Serica control over the Bruce and Keith fields and 50% in the Rhum asset due to the deal with BP and follow up transactions with other firms.
