SynergenOG has successfully completed our first industrial talk in Indonesia for Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) on the 19th of June. It was conducted online via Microsoft Teams at 9AM Jakarta time, as a courtesy to the students.
We collaborated with Resti, an alumna of UPN, who arranged the presentation for the SynergenOG team. The Department of Chemical Engineering in UPN coordinated the event with the student union, most of whom are from the Industrial Engineering and Petroleum Engineering stream. We were greeted by around 140 participants at the event. The opening was officiated by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, followed by a welcome speech. We felt honoured as guests and were more than happy to divulge our insights into the Process Safety work.
Overall, the event lasts for almost three hours! We are happy to answer the questions thrown at us by the students – a strong indication that the presentation allowed the students to look through a new lens. At the end of the seminar, the students prepared a small token of appreciation which has been sent to the SynergenOG headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
