SynergenOG (SOG) was engaged to perform a Gas Dispersion Modelling Study to evaluate the performance of the existing gas detection system (hydrogen cyanide and sulphur dioxide) and identify potential areas for improvement.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the adequacy of existing gas detectors layout and to demonstrate that the location and number of gas detectors are in compliance with specified detection criteria.
Over four million ounces of gold have been produced ever since SOG went beyond the Oil & Gas sector and commenced its mine operations two decades ago.
This plant is owned and operated by 2 conglomerates from Australia and Indonesia. The processing plant currently focusses on two underground mines with a production capacity of up to 500,000 tonnes per year.
The operation is located on Halmahera Island, in the North Maluku Province of the Republic of Indonesia, approximately 2,450 kilometres north-east of the national capital, Jakarta.
