SynergenOG is pleased to announce that Aqualis has successfully completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares in SynergenOG, a Southeast Asia-based process safety and technical risk management consultancy. SynergenOG will now be integrated with Aqualis’ design and engineering arm, Longitude.
SynergenOG expands Longitude’s technical offering in process safety and technical risk management, while significantly strengthening its presence across Asia Pacific.
With SynergenOG’s team of 45 consultants based across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and India, Longitude gains broader regional reach and added capability to support clients across offshore and onshore energy and wider infrastructure markets in the Asia Pacific region.
The transaction also gives Longitude a new in-country presence in Brunei and further strengthens its growing facilities and subsea engineering business, building on its track record in asset integrity management. Combined, the businesses create a stronger platform for delivering specialist safety and risk engineering to clients across the region and beyond.
“We are delighted to formally welcome the SynergenOG team into Longitude and Aqualis. This acquisition strengthens our safety and risk engineering capability and significantly boosts our presence in Asia Pacific. Together, we are better positioned to support clients across the region with specialist expertise spanning process safety, technical risk, facilities and subsea engineering,” says Jake Anderson, CEO of Longitude.
SynergenOG specialises in process safety management, technical risk, loss prevention and operational safety, supporting predominantly oil and gas clients across more than 50 countries. Its expertise is highly relevant to Longitude’s work across marine and subsea operations, offshore wind and wider energy development.
“Joining Longitude marks an important next step for SynergenOG. As part of a larger design and engineering platform, we can bring our specialist process safety and technical risk expertise to more clients, in more markets, while creating new opportunities for our people across Asia Pacific and beyond,” says Puvan Balasubramaniam, Director and Co-founder of SynergenOG.
As part of Longitude and the wider Aqualis group, SynergenOG will continue to focus on delivering high-quality, specialist technical support to clients, while expanding its reach and capabilities through a broader international platform.
