We participated in the “Process Safety and Asset Integrity Subholding Upstream 2025” event, themed “Navigating PSAIM Challenges for Sustainable Mature Asset Operations” held on Wednesday–Thursday, 8–9 October 2025, at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. The event was attended by more than 100 participants, including representatives from various Pertamina Subholding Upstream entities and government regulatory bodies.
We were honoured to have Mr. Alex Van der Berg representing Enablon, a Wolters Kluwer company, joining us at the event. The event was proudly supported by Enablon, whose participation further strengthened the focus on digital transformation and integrated risk management solutions.
This event represents Pertamina’s continuous commitment to enhancing process safety and asset integrity management (PSAIM) within Subholding Upstream. It serves as a collaborative platform to strengthen understanding of major accident hazard (MAH) management, identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technologies, promote cross-functional collaboration among stakeholders, and cultivate a stronger process safety culture across operations.
As part of the exhibition, SynergenOG, the technology partner and authorised reseller for Enablon, particularly for the BowTie Enterprise solutions, showcased its core expertise in process safety and asset integrity. The team presented innovative digital tools that support effective safety case implementation and risk management. Our booth introduced the company’s profile, key services, and digital solutions designed to help organisations achieve safe, reliable, and sustainable operations.
One of the main highlights was the introduction of Bowtie, a visual risk assessment tool that provides a clear and structured overview of potential accident scenarios. The Bowtie method illustrates the relationship between hazards, their preventive and mitigative barriers, and possible consequences. By using Bowtie, organizations can visualize how failures in safety barriers could lead to incidents and, more importantly, identify areas where improvements are needed to maintain barrier integrity and reduce risk exposure.
In addition, SynergenOG presented its e-Safety Case, a digital platform that integrates safety documentation, performance standards, and verification records into one centralized system. The e-Safety Case enhances accessibility, traceability, and continuous improvement in process safety management by ensuring that all stakeholders from engineers to regulators have real-time visibility of critical safety information.
Together with Pertamina Hulu Energy and Enablon (Wolters Kluwer), SynergenOG joined this forum to collectively promote innovation, collaboration, and safety awareness across the Sub-holding Upstream environment.
Through this participation, SynergenOG reaffirms its commitment to supporting Pertamina’s vision of achieving safe, sustainable, and high-integrity operations by delivering practical process safety solutions that combine engineering expertise, digital transformation, and operational excellence—together with its strategic technology partner, Enablon.
