How do you mitigate flow induced vibration?

Mitigations against FIV are as follows:

1. Increase the diameter of the pipe or pipe size to reduce the fluid velocity
2. Increase pipe wall thickness to increase system rigidity
3. Provide a better support configuration by increasing the number of support
4. Adding viscous damper, snubber, shock arrestor or other vibration reducers to the piping system as a vibration control measure
