Refinery Unit V (RU-V) is owned by PT. PERTAMINA (PERSERO) and is located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The RU V in Balikpapan includes unit processes with CDU, HVU, Hydro Cracker Unit, Platformer, Naphtha Treater, Gasoil Treater and LPG Recovery.
Pertamina operates 6 refineries across Indonesia including Sumatera, Jawa, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua with a total installed refinery capacity that is equivalent to approximately 90% of the existing capacity of refineries in Indonesia.
SynergenOG is proud to be able to work together with KSO Adhi-Rekind in providing ongoing HAZOP services for the modification on plant-7 tie-in to the north acid flare.
In Pertamina’s plan on achieving growth capacity of refineries, the fuel production target is set to be 1.3 million bpd by 2025, after the completing the RFCC, PLBC, RDMP and New GRR projects. The realisation of these projects would contribute greatly to the economy of the country in the form of revenue and state contribution. This also means the liberation of Indonesia from a dependence on fuel imports.
