Job Description

Position: Junior Process Safety Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Experience Required: Fresh graduate or up to 3 years

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the execution of process safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Classification, Consequence Modelling, Formal Safety Assessments and other related assessments.
• Perform engineering calculations, data analysis and technical modelling under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and project documentation.
• Participate in the development and improvement of in-house process safety tools and training materials.
• Learn and apply industry-standard software for process safety and risk analysis.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and other project support activities.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and technical software application through training, mentoring and on-the-job learning.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process or Petroleum Engineering.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas, energy or process industries are also welcome.
• Basic understanding of process safety principles and risk assessment methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as PHAST, SAFETI, PIPENET, AutoCAD, or equivalent is an advantage, but not essential.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn, work collaboratively and take on new technical challenges
